Chrissie realised her passion for financial planning in 2007 and quickly became an expert, particularly in the superannuation fund space. Chrissie takes time to get to know her clients and understand the different facets of their lives, so she can get to the depths of their concerns and goals. Chrissie thrives on keeping up to date with industry changes and understanding complex matters so she can break down and communicate financial strategies in a straightforward manner, enabling her to become her client’s trusted financial guide throughout their journey. Chrissie loves the great outdoors and enjoys a range of sports including cycling, tennis and skiing.

For Hamish, financial planning is about helping people make the most of today and plan for a better tomorrow. Hamish strives to understand each of his clients lifestyles, goals and needs whilst showing them how to achieve dreams that they didn’t know were possible. He believes that asking the right questions to really get a feel for what makes them tick and their relationship with money is critical to developing the right financial strategy and plan. It’s Hamish’s ability to help keep his clients on track that saw him become a finalist at The Young Financial Planner of the Year awards last year.
When he’s not helping people build and preserve wealth, he’s either at F45 working on his overall fitness or undoing the hard work at the newest burger joint.

Listening to and understanding a client’s wants and needs, helping them formulate a financial path forward, and seeing the benefits over time is what it's all about. This is a challenging but ultimately rewarding profession where people place their trust in us, and we work hard to ensure we repay that faith with financial certainty and peace of mind.
Obviously we need to stay on top of strategies, products and constant regulatory changes that impact clients, but the key to success is having a deep understanding of the clients ultimate goals, and often helping them understand what their ultimate goals look like. This is achieved through asking the right questions, and actually listening to the answers! The challenge then becomes devising the right strategy for the client and working with them to effectively implement that strategy.
Away from work, I’m still thinking about work! When I’m not in the office, I’ll generally be training for some crazy endurance event. Having done the Melbourne Ironman, North Face (50km trail run), Three Peaks (235K bike ride), I’m always on the lookout for the next challenge. If I’m not working or training, I’ll either be having a beer or two, or watching a movie

Wilson Chen joined the Smith Feutrill Wealth Management team in 2016 after studying Economics at the University of Melbourne. Wilson takes great pride in helping his clients understand and ultimately take control of their own finances. He is currently looking to enrol in the CFP program to further his professional development.
Out of the office, Wilson is a keen cyclist and enjoys his time outdoors.
